Payment & Policies

1. Services

Academic tutoring in-person and online (CS, Robotics, Math, Physics).

Educational services only — not childcare or custodial care.

2. Payment

All sessions paid at least 24 hours in advance. No same-day payment.

In-Person (always 2 hours): $150/session — I travel to you

Additional students: +$50/student — $300 max for 4 students

Online (Zoom): $40/hr — no commute, no hardware. Covers coding, math, AI, and game development.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

24+ hours notice — Reschedule within 14 days, no fee.

Under 24 hours — Credit issued for one future session(2 hours of instruction ). Credits do not expire.

No-show or cancellation after session start — Session marked complete. Illness exception: notify me and we'll reschedule with credit issued.

My cancellation or lateness — I'll notify you by text. You may proceed with remaining time or reschedule the full session at no charge.

4. Late Policy

Online: I will wait up to 30 minutes for the student to join. After 30 minutes with no contact, the session is marked complete. If you reach me within that window, we'll work with the remaining time or reschedule by mutual agreement.

In-Person: I will wait up to 30 minutes to reach the student or parent before marking the session complete. I will text immediately upon arrival if no one is available.

5. Session Confirmation

Calendly sends automatic reminders upon booking. A manual confirmation is sent at time of payment.

Changes must be requested at least 24 hours before the session via email or text — don't rely on Calendly for last-minute adjustments. Requests under 24 hours are not guaranteed but will be accommodated where possible.

6. Between-Session Support

Quick questions via email are welcome at no charge — expect a reply within 48 hours. If the question requires hands-on troubleshooting or significant instruction, I'll suggest a short session instead. Administrative questions (scheduling, billing) via email or text anytime.

7. Substitutes

I do not send substitutes. If I am unavailable due to illness or emergency, the session is rescheduled at no charge with no penalty to the client.

8. Equipment & Damage

I carry insurance covering all equipment used in sessions. Clients are not liable for accidental damage from normal use. Intentional or reckless damage may result in termination of services — unused prepaid sessions refunded in full.

9. Free Diagnostic

First session free — 30–60 min online. No obligation.

10. In-Person Supervision

A parent or responsible adult must be present in the home before I enter — not necessarily in the room. This is a condition of service, communicated at booking.

I will not begin a session alone with a minor under any circumstances. If no adult is present at arrival, I will text you immediately and wait up to 30 minutes before marking the session complete.

11. Recording

Recording: Recording by either party requires mutual consent. I will ask your permission before recording anything; you must do the same. Short clips under 5 minutes for personal review only. No full-session recording. No public distribution.

12. Equipment & Injury

I carry liability insurance covering equipment-related accidents. Clients are not financially liable for accidental damage. If a student is accidentally injured during a session, insurance applies and you receive a full refund of all prepaid sessions.

13. Background Verification

Checks completed through Ontario (Canada), New York State, and the FBI. Available for verification upon request.

14. Refunds

If you cancel unused sessions:

Refund: Full value of unused sessions, minus $50 or 15% of the unused session value — whichever is less.

Credit: Keep full unused value as credit, no fee. Valid 6 months.

15. Rate Changes

Rate changes apply to future unpaid sessions only. Prepaid packages locked at original price.

16. Independent Contractor

I operate as an independent contractor, not an employee.

17. Governing Law
